I buy the master sets for the expensive sets (56 cards for $60, for instance). I still buy the boxes for the more reasonable sets, just to see if I can pull a really good card like I got this time.

The Rise of Skywalker Series 2 has been postponed to at least June. It probably won’t be released until the worst of the coronavirus pandemic is past.

Which cards are you seeking in these sets, or are you just starting them? I have a few that are available.

If my experience is anything like what you will find, the Behind the Scenes set is easier to find and costs less than the Concept Art set. I paid $72 for mine.

I contacted someone who bought 4 CASES of these cards and he said he barely got one complete set of the Concept Art cards from those four cases. What is Topps doing? Apparently they don’t care about those of us who buy a couple of boxes. There hasn’t been even one complete set of the Concept Art cards for sale on eBay since this set came out. Given it takes four cases to get a complete set, you can understand why.

I have a number of extras, but I don’t really need any from this set. The only thing I might still consider is getting a rainbow set of colors for one of the base cards, but that’s about it. What are you looking for? I’m willing to send you a few free, or a bigger number if you will pay the postage. Let me know.

I used to buy those, as well as the U.S. ones, but I eventually gave it up. The U.K. versions didn’t ever seem to have cards that were as heavy as those from the U.S. version, and chasing twice as many sets drove me nuts.

I believe both of these are 56 cards per box for close to $50 per box. While I would like to have both of them, I can’t justify almost $1 per card for them. Further, I think they are both Hobby only, so no finding them at Target. What is Topps doing? Why are they trying to price out the regular collectors who aren’t made of money.

Unless I’m missing something, this is just a Haves list, isn’t it? I don’t see any needs you have listed.

Journey to the Rise of Skywalker card set coming out tomorrow, October 4. Looks like a pretty standard set, 8 cards per pack, 24 packs per box, 110 base cards. One autograph card and one other hit per box.

I only pulled one blueprint card, and it is just a base card xxx/250. Wish I could help, but no luck.

Does anyone need any base cards or orange parallels for this set? I would be glad to send them for just the cost of postage if I have any you need. Just let me know.

New card set coming tomorrow, Aug. 28, and it is a more traditional set with a more realistic price. The Skywalker Saga will show iconic moments from the Skywalker family, etc. 8 cards per pack, 24 packs per box, 100 base cards, 5 insert sets, 2 hits per box, and several other things to chase.

I decided to just buy the set on eBay. I was able to buy the complete base set and all three chase card sets for about $150. I still don’t have any sketch cards, autographs or medallion cards, and getting any good ones will be pricey. I did miss the fun of opening the packs, and that is worth something. The cards are definitely high quality, matching the high price. I guess everyone will have to decide for themselves if they want to buy the boxes, just buy the set online, or skip it altogether.

That’s a good idea, Cathy. I have so many extra base cards that just keep cluttering up the area. Maybe give some to kids to get them interested.
