Lays - UK - Force Pack Cards (1997)
In 1997, the UK produced a set of 50 tazos which were given away as part of a contest in different types of chips. Unlike the Doritos promotion in the US, tazos in the UK were found in only some of the marked bags. If you found a tazo, you had won. As part of the tazo promotion, a binder was available from shops and through mail order. The small binder had thick cardboard pages designed to hold the tazos. It also had with it a Force card. There were eight different Force Cards in the series. Each card was a hard plastic card, similar to an identification card. The front of the cards featured a photo of a character from the movie (enclosed in a tazo-like circle), Their name and an identification number, as well as the name of the chip company (Walkers), the SE logo, and the words: Tazo Collector's Force Pack. The backs of the cards had the character's name, three bullet points of information about the character, and a place for a signature.
Because most of these cards were at one time attached to a binder, they occasionally have glue marks on the card backs. Many cards were sold separately from the packs through Walkers mail order however, and will not have any glue marks or scratches. These cards were unnumbered.
