Gamesa Cookies - Mexico - Promotional Cards (1997)

Distributed by Sonrics in Mexico (a division of Pepsi), these cards came in boxes of Gamesa cookies. Sonrics, also distributed Sonrics candy boxes and a number of other special food premiums for Star Wars. The Gamesa cards were very small (5 1/2 by 3 1/2 cm). Special fold back notches on the bottom of each mini-card allow you to use the card as a stand-up with the box. A number of variations exist in the way Gamesa cards were printed. Some cards had character names printed in yellow, while other had this printed in red. Differences also exist in the way the brand name was printed on the back of the cards. In all, at least 3 different mirror sets can be collected for the Gamesa cards if a complete set of any particular variation is made. My own personal set contains each type of variation.
