Canada Games - Canada - Star Wars Pogs (1995)

Distributed in 1995 by Canada Games, these pogs feature pictures of Star Wars characters and scenes. Of the various Star Wars pogs issued in 1995, the Canadian set is by far the best. Images feature a mixture of photo images and art images, with bold colors and strong artwork. Additionally, the slammers for this set are incredible. All slammers are made of hard plastic, with a rich sparkling color on top, and the image cut-away from this color to reveal the black plastic beneath. Slammers came in a range of colors, making it possible to collect the slammers in red, blue, green, gold, silver, copper, and purple. My Canadian pogs are a favorite part of my Star Wars collection.

The slammers for this set are numbered one through eight, which caused the pogs themselves to start at number nine. Because the slammers came in many different colors. It is very difficult to complete a full set of all the variations. Additionally, some colors were less commonly found than others. Blue and Green slammers were the most frequently found. Gold colored slammers come in two distinct varieties,one with a smooth texture, and one with a prismatic texture more similar to the other slammers. Slammers came in the following colors: red, blue, green, silver, gold, gold (prismatic), copper, and purple.
