Topps - US - Empire Strikes Back (Series II) (1980)
The second series of Empire Strikes Back cards featured another 132 cards with an additional 33 stickers to collect. As they had done with the first Empire Strikes Back set, Topps made many of the stickers show a pair of letter that could be peeled separately. While being able to spell things with your stickers was fun as a kid, it didn't have much to do with Star Wars. The better stickers were those that showed characters from the movies. This set featured 3 stickers of Empire Forces, and 8 of Rebel Forces.
Card in this series had a blue and gray border. Topps continued their tradition of fun captions under each picture, although they used fewer explanation points in this Empire set than had been typical in the earlier Star Wars cards. Cards were numbered consecutively with the first series.
