Figuritas/Topps - Argentina - Star Wars Cards and Album (1977)

Special thanks to my friend Andy for information on this card set from Argentina. I've put down the company names as Figuritas/Topps simply because Figuritas is the most prominent word on the cover of the album, and therefore someone looking for information on this set might tend to look for that word. The cards appear to have been made by an Argentinian subsidiary of Topps. I'm afraid my information for this set is a bit limited, but it is known to exist.

The set contains 66 cards (just like the American card set), 11 character images (again, just like the stickers for the American set) and 16 puzzle piece images that combined to make the Star Wars poster image. Unlike the American set, this card set also had an album the cards could be pasted into (somewhat like a sticker album).

Unfortunately, the existence of the album probably means a lot of these cards did get glued into albums, making it more difficult to find them in good condition.

Cards were identical to the U.S. cards, having a blue star field border and red starburst containing the card number, but each card had Le Guerra de las Galaxias as a title on the card front, instead of a description of the card scene.
