Gary in Minneapolis donated a few vintage cards and a vintage sticker to the site, red series, loved, but ideal cards for someone still trying to finish up their set.
I decided that I'd add a little something to his donation, a Heritage P5 promo card (in honor of the vintage cards), and a very, very rare pad of SWTC post-it notes! These aren't vintage, but haven't been seen in years.
So, if your vintage Series 2 set is incomplete, or you want to start a nephew or niece collecting the vintage cards, or you need trade bait to help you finish your vintage sets, this contest might just be for you.

I got my first few packs of RotS movie cards at a drug store, was bummed when I noticed they were hobby because I wanted all the retial chases, and pulled a sketch card in my first pack!

Well I haven't exactly been collecting all that long, but my greatest memory is pulling a 'C' card in the second ever pack I opened of the Evolution Update series. In fact I was so bemused I had to triple check I had got the odds right of pulling one of these. To top it off later I pulled the other 'C' card in another box to make a pair.
And no, I have no intention of getting rid of them.
I guess my favorite Star Wars card collecting memory reminds me of my brothers. We don't talk much anymore but I can remember back in 1977-78 when I had to go and watch my older brothers play little league baseball. Before we left the house, my younger brother and I would look around the house for spare change. Once we got to the baseball field, we ran over to the concession stand. My younger brother would buy candy and I would buy....yes, you guessed it...Yellow Series Star Wars card packs. I remember when those packs were 25 cents each...plus tax. My younger brother would ask, "Why do you waste your money on those dumb cards?" I would simply say, "You buy what you want....I'll buy what I want." Later, while sitting on a bench I would thumb through the cards looking at images of the greatest movie I've ever seen. At that point, I was hooked! Oh, yea...I would watch my brothers play too.....
I remember going to a friend's house and looking at his ESB cards.. his sister was blasting Michael Jacksons Thriller in the next room as I flipped through all the familiar images until my jaw dropped - there it was... Empire strikes back - Series One #109 "Lando . . . Friend or Foe? The one card I needed to complete the set. I had only seen it in the small black and white image on the back of #108 and seeing it large and color and real - felt like I spotted a unicorn or stumbled upon bigfoot. I had been buying packs for weeks tryng to get it and it was driving me crazy. He gave it to me and I carried it home gently.
