In the August/Sept. issue of Non-SportUpdate, the article about Clone Wars states that there will be 12 exclusive coins in Target, Walmart, & ToysRUs. "This is a total of 36 unique coins".
It also states that there are "parallels of the cel cards exclusive to Target & walmart in Red and Blue respectively".
24 coins would be easier to collect though!

I have not found any retail yet (though I have been looking).

Why coins at all, Topps are primarilly a Trading card company? I'll get the coins if I see them on Ebay and a good price otherwise I will pass on them.

why cards at all, topps really was a gum/candy company back in the day?

companies always through in some kind of premium (a tin, now a coin) to try to get folks to buy their less popular stuff (retail trading cards).

I have found the retail coins at Wal Mart and Target here in the Houston, Tx area. I haven't seen any at Toys R Us yet. I'm still looking

It appears that the coins are blue (Wal Mart), Red (Target), and gold (Toys R Us).
