A Collector's dream come true!

A collector for many years of Star Wars cards (among other things), I found that there really was nothing out there to help me keep track of my collection. I also found when trading with others, that everyone seemed to list things differently and it was often hard to understand what people had for trade, or what they needed. There were also so many other aspects of collecting that were an inconvenience: lugging lists for everything around, keeping track of other things such as comics and movies, people always wanting to get you something you need, but never really knowing what you need. Also, when you would find something that was great at keeping track of one collection, it didn't work for other collections, or you would have to pay for something that quickly became obsolete of with lack of support, and often as well only kept track of one collection.

So out of necessity and desire to alleviate the pain of a loved hobby, I began in December of 2007 the development of a website to answer all my needs... thus was born Collex-it. Well after nine months of work, 2008, September 10th, 11am ( 8,9,10,11) like a new life, the site finally saw the light of day.

Like a cross between Facebook and Wikipedia, Collex-it lets you create your own personal page where you can keep track of all your "Collexions", whether it's cards and comics, movies and music, stamps and coins or all of the above. Each member has access to an ever-growing database of selections any member can add to and all can share. Keep track of what you have, what you need, or what you have extras of... also quickly check ebay or amazon for those items, or generate quick text-only lists you can cut and paste into your favourite forums. You can also save three lists with your profile, which you can easily access from your cell phone or other mobile web device wherever you may be, or email the links to anyone always wondering what to get you.

And guess what... this is only the start, as other features are planned... and best of all it's free... run by collectors for collectors.

Sign up today and start Collexing! If you Collex-it... keep track of it here.

enjoy!

Cathy,

thanks for putting a plug in for my new site...

it's really not that hard a site to get used to... check out the browse feature once you are logged in to get an idea of how things are filed...check out the EP4 Topps Blue 1977 set or a bunch of SW comics I have put in...

just take your time, look around and you'll be Collex-ing full speed in no time at all...

hope everyone enjoys the site... it was A LOT of work... plus if you have any questions feel free to email me and I'll be glad to help out

Wow, quite an ambitious project! Can't wait to check it out fully.
If you don't mind, I'm also going to plug it over in the Star Wars Action News (SWAN) forums.
