Well, I'm testing some things out, and this forum is a sample of one test.

What am I testing? The elimination of advertisements on the site. Simplification of menus. A cleaner overall look for site pages.

Why? Advertising revenue is essentially gone. Where we used to manage to at least partially pay our costs every month, we now come nowhere close. A change in the way ebay handles ads is part of this. As is the loss of our affiliate relationship with the old card store. Why post ads if they just clutter the site and do nothing to benefit members? And the site card pages have needed a cleanup for awhile. If I'm going to sit down and dedicate some time to cleaning them up, I'll want to make them cleaner and simpler.

How can you help?

Comment. Is this 'Look' with a very simple top menu, no banners, no artwork, something you like? Something you hate? Is there something we MUST add for you to be happy? Something that must go?

Simple is good for navigating. I would prefer to see the links on the side like bookmarks or CAD tools but on the top would work as well.

I'm loving the streamlining look. Posts can handle more words per line so our posts are wider now!!!

I'm happy with this clean, uncluttered look. If I want that other stuff I'll go to every other website.

I like the new wider look. As someone who uses Firefox as the primary browser I find the wider forum posts better to look at in FF as the current version of FF sometime struggles to handle wider forum posts as well as Internet explorer.

However I am somewhat divided, I did the like the links at the side but I much prefer this cleaner look to the forums. Go figure, you can never get both things.

I do like the declutered look without the ads.
