It has been decided, I'll be at Celebration 5. Should probably buy tickets!

Hopefully some of you are thinking C5 thoughts as well. Maybe someone here will send in a presentation proposal to Gus and we can all go hear you speak!

But there are other plans to be made! Should we meet up as a group at some point during the convention? If so, suggestions on where/when and all that should start circulating now.

I'd like to do a site postcard for the convention (maybe more than one). Always great to advertise that we exist to Star Wars fans who may not realize this card collecting community is out there. Also great for folks here to have another postcard!

In that spirit, I would LOVE to have a Postcard contest. But it is only a proper contest if we get more than one entry!

I currently use a company called www.vistaprint.com to do my postcards. They are cheap, do a good job, and I usually have a nice coupon from a friend.

We do the Standard Postcard.

Postcards do NOT have to be original artwork. They can't steal someone's existing artwork of course, but if you want to do a photograph, screen capture from the website (just tell me what the captions, etc. should be, I'll add them through Vistaprint's editor process) or computer generated art, or who knows what. I'm willing to consider anything.

I'd like at least 3 design options for people to vote on. Winning option(s) I will also print up through VistaPrint a single t-shirt which you will get to wear at the Convention (or if you don't go, hanging out at home). If I can come up with other 'prize goodies' for the winner, I will.

If folks want to browse VistaPrint and suggest other 'stuff' we should do, I'm open to thoughts. For the last couple of postcards, I also did 10 magnets which went to a small number of folks through contests, or as thank's.

Spread the word, and let's see what we come up with.

My guidelines:

It should promote the website.

It should be G-rated (family friendly).

It should encourage card collecting or some other good collecting behaviors/ideas (be +).

It should probably have an ESB Theme, what with C5 being the 30th anniversary and everything.

Including the C5 logo and stuff, we will probably do with the back side of the card, but the front is also okay.

Dare I say...I'm in!!

We're running out of time, and I need to get things to the printer soon. Also pay for them and all that, so if you have something, get it in!
