Maybe we should keep a list of potential problem sellers or sellers that have not fullfilled their end of the purchase agreement. I purchased a box of Chrome Archives from paperchase_cards several months ago, paid by Paypal and never received the cards. I have an action thru Ebay against them right now, but I think it's safe to assume my money is gone. Beware!

I hate how long it takes ebay to resolve these disputes.
I hope you reported through the paypal too.
I do know a real card store that carries Chrome Archives, but their price is $75 a box now that these are harder to come by. If you need the store name, e-mail me. Per site rules, no posting of commercial sites! Eek. But I know they are reputable. Not sure I'd want to spend that much myself, but pulling packs can be fun.
Unfortunately, I have had a recent bad dealing with good_good_deals on ebay. I paypaled them the payment, and it took them a month to send me the wrong item. They were apologetic, and asked that I send it back and they would cover return shipping, and send the correct item out. Needless to say, the correct item never materialized, and they kept giving lame excuses and promises it would be in the mail. Finally, they offered a refund, which I agreed to. Well, its been a month and a half, filled with ebay and paypal complaints, and I still have not seen a refund. I would be very, very cautious if bidding on anything he has to offer. The good news for SW fans is he doen't frequently auction SW items.

I recently got ripped by "alyssassite", paid for 22 ESB3 wax packs, never received. Seller promised to "do the right thing". I guess the right thing was to no longer be registered with Ebay and ignore all e-mails.

I had trouble with ebay seller "godsmack007". I purchased a small lot of cards including WV chromes that never came. I contacted him about two dozen times and only once got a reply that he was busy at work and would get them out this week. Needless to say, he never did. I made an ebay claim but because the amount was low, there wasn't anyway to get my money back. Anyhow, after two months I gave up. I've learned that if a seller has less than 99% feedback, I am buying at my own risk!

Well, my ebay action came back in my favor, only it says i'm getting $38 and some change back. I paid 58+ shipping! Guess anything is better than nothing!
I'm now having a problem with back2one on eBay. He has a big positive rating, but he hasn't sent my card and doesn't reply to my messages. I see another person just gave him a negative feedback for the same reason. I hate this.

Andrew Dedman (The recipient of this payment is Non-U.S. - Verified) Seller's ID: paraboliq23 Seller's Email: paraboliq@dodo.com.au
Keep an eye out for him!!
Anymore, after I pay I request notice of when the item was sent. Then I give then 2-5 days (depending on what day and where they are located) before I contact them again. If I get no response with 24 hours, it's off to the Ebay and Paypal dispute center. Hate that I have to be that way. I am cleaning out my guest closet and trimming my collection some by selling the oddball stuff, and I have these things practically packed BEFORE I put them up on Ebay. They leave my hands within 1 business day of payment received. People like these scumbags make you not want to buy anything off the net.

There are days. I won some stickers at starting price, and now 12 days later, I still have no stickers. Even though I was charged $5 shipping.
When I contacted the seller, he said they had been sent, and that I should be okay with the $5 shipping because he was giving me a break. I had won 3 separate auctions with $3 shipping costs, and he combined them (after I asked) down to only $5 instead of the $9 he wanted.
On stickers that cost $1 in the store anyway. I hate people who use shipping to pad their profit, and don't see why I should have paid $5 for STICKERS (mail them flat in a plain envelope for under $1) if they can't even arrive within 12 days.
We'll see if they ever arrive. Lots of positive feedback on the seller, but for the few negatives he does have, he always seems to respond with 'my feedback rating speaks for itself' instead of an actual response to the issue presented. I think I'll start an official ebay complaint. Definitely a shame. Oh, user ID on this guy is Icon4Life.
A shame this list is only likely to get longer. Guess I'll bookmark this topic and check here before I bid on a new seller. I've featured the topic so people can find it more easily.
My guy, back2one, finally sent me the card after I filed a complaint. He didn't contact me - the card just showed up one day. Do these people really think this is the way to do business?

The sad and scary answer is yes, they do.

Hi Guys Well my $.02 here: First let me applaud the fact that everyone is watching everyone's backs. If I worte down the list that I've run into on ebay publicly... well it would take up a lot of space. That's 1 reason. Another (and Cathy please take note of this) is that it seems that if you post someone's info publicly on a website and call them a bad person (true or not) it's considered slander, and it seems these people are winning lawsuits about this too. Yeah I know the rights of the offenders seem to win over the rights of the victims... NOT RIGHT at ALL. So personally I've got to the practice of (basically) if soneone asks me about soso I'll tell them flat out what I think (privately) Publicly I just have to ban them form my auctions and stay away from theirs it seems nowadays. PO service well that seems to be a HORROR story in itself these days. Here in the Northeast it's take an unbelievable amount of time to get things it seems. Averaging about a month now for turn around. GEEZ I had a "selling" auction that ended around 7/26/05 and it didn't arrive in NY until just this past week. I bought a promo back in the end of June and that took over 2 months to get to me across country, and the bloody thing had Delivery Confirmation on it too. When both the seller and I tried to track it all we found out about it was that it left his local PO. So basically it may not be the seller's fault these days for long delivery. OK not siding with anybody on the S&H charges (god knows I hate paying for them too!!!), but there are 2 sides to that story all the time. Peronally the $5 per car is out of control... Man that card better be wrapped in GOLD to pay that much for a 1st class package!!! Now for the real stories... There is a SW seller on ebay that sells at top price and then everything is sent out at a cost of $6 per card not matter what. To say the least everytime I run into that seller I hit the back button and look at something else!!! Now there was one time I bought some promos on ebay from a seller that basically lives about 40 miles away from me... he charges about $4 for S&H, I did email him to ask "Why so much for around the corner?". His answer: He has to take public transportation to get to the PO, so that's part of the charge. I can accept something like that. Please remember folks that it does take some amout of $$$ to send these cards in the mail. You know the cost not of just the stamp alone, there's the soft sleeves, toploaders, bubblemailers (which are starting to cost more it seems), cost of gas (yep those prices are going up) to get to PO, and who works for free these days. Again I'm not sticking up for these high charges, just stressing the fact that everyone should set an acceptable S&H price that he/she is willing to pay on an auction and stick to it. On a personally note: I personally have had a personally battle with myself everytime I raise the S&H charges on my auctions, I HATE doing it but it seems I have choice. When I started back in '98 I had only $1 as the charge now I'm up to $3. And for the explaination for the $3 charge now well... seems like ther is just too many crybabies now on ebay who won't accept the fact that I as a good seller (not dealer) need time to make the transaction and that waiting more than 2 weeks is too much time. I have it always stated that check take 2 weeks to clear upon my recieving them (so that means 3 weeks before I send them out their auctions) MO's are the weekend after recieving them. I've been this far far away from too many people leaving negative feedback due to the time it takes to properly turnaround a good auction. So due to this recnt fact I have not made it a "MUST" that Delivery Confirmation is included in all, which of course has just raised the price. You know it's an aweful thing thing that we have protect ourselves from the people who left negatives for no good reasons. See Ya

Kid Trek's comments on slander are correct, which is why I have not made an official posting area for posts like this.
And of course, site policy is that you not attack another person on a personal level. You can say you don't like what they did, but you can't call them a jerk because of it. And everything you say should be true.
Well the problem that I have with the increasing S/H charges is that I have been running into, alot of sellers who sure aren't doing anything to justify the cost. $3.50 for a card that is mailed first class stuck between two pieces of cardboard and placed in a standard white envelope?I do not mind cards mailed that way they travel well that way but it sure does not cost that much to S/H that way.Brett

I've definitely started to not bid on auctions if they have high shipping charges unless I know the seller is someone who does a professional job of mailing the items out. Particularly cards and stickers. And normally I look for people who combine shipping costs, etc.
Many, many sellers seem to be ensuring their profits in the shipping charges, posting 99 cent auctions on cards, and then if it sells at 99 cents, the shipping charge is suddenly $5 or more. If no shipping costs are posted, or if they are riduculously high, I'm more than willing to pass on the
