I got my copy of Insider #101 yesterday. Also inside the plastic envelope was a small set of Top Trumps promo cards. The top card in my set is a Rancor. I haven't opened it to see what the other cards are. Does anyone know anything about this set? Was it publicized? Is it new?

I definitly heard a rumour somewhere that something was penned for around this time in the Insider Top Trumps wise but I did not think that it had been confirmed. First I have heard.
This might explain why Insider has been slightly delayed this time round. Is this from a new set.
The magazine has an offer to sell four previous sets as a package for $20. I didn't see anything about a new set so far, but I suppose I could have overlooked it.

Has this issue hit the bookstores in other places yet? I went to Borders and Books-a-Million earlier today and they still had issue #100 on the shelves. I'm guessing that those with subscriptions probably received theirs before it hit the stores, but maybe not. Either way....more promos to track down! Yay!
There appears to be 4 cards in the envelope. Moving them around as best I could, the other cards I could see were Nute Gunray and Captain Typho. Not sure if these are brand new or existed elsewhere earlier.
Issue #101 was at the Borders I went to on Saturday....the Top Trumps cards are Rancor, TIE Interceptor, Nute Gunray, and Captain Typho. The Captain Typho is the animated Clone Wars version. They don't appear to be promoting any new product, as they all are from already produced Top Trumps sets. It looks as though Top Trumps is just making a move into the US markets, continuing the ad campaign they started last summer with the promo packs at CIV and SDCC. There is a giant two-page ad in this months Insider, which includes the rules of the game as well as the $20 offer.
Top Trumps a cool little card game that kids and adults can play easily...and the images are fantastic, with each card having bio information and facts as well as the gameplay stats. For us collectors, there are also lots of "Super" Top Trumps promos out there to track down. Good stuff if you haven't checked it out.
